West Springfield District police report the following in their April 27, 2012, weekly incident report. Assault A 27-year-old victim was power walking on a trail near Danbury Forest Drive and Lonsdale Road at about noon on Saturday, April 14, when she passed a man standing on the path. As she passed, he grabbed her from behind. She was able to break free and flee. The man was described as Hispanic, between 5-feet 6-inches to 5-feet 9-inches tall and around 150-170 pounds. He was professionally attired in a white, buttoned shirt and a dark vest, black slacks and black shoes. West Springfield District Police incident report for the week ending Feb. 10, 2012.
Two women were startled by a man peeping into their home just after midnight on Feb. 8, according to West Springfield District police. The suspect was standing on the back deck of the home in the 8900 block of Igoe Street, looking inside, when the women noticed him. The suspect fled when the victims screamed. The women were not harmed. In their Feb. 10 incident report, West Springfield District police also reported nine larcenies and three auto thefts. LARCENIES VEHICLE THEFTS ARRESTS Arrest numbers were not available this week due to technical difficulties, according to the Fairfax County Police Department Public Information Office.

ROBBERY: West Springfield District Police report a 25-year-old man was robbed in the area of Starboard Court and Starboard Drive around 5:10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 20. The victim parked his car on Starboard Drive and began walking when two other men approached him. One suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied, and the suspects fled in a silver or grey, four-door sedan. The victim walked home and called police. The first suspect was described as black, about 6 feet 1 inch tall.
