About Jennifer
Email: jennifer.l.souther@gmail.com
Hometown: Fairfax, VA
Birthday: November 6th
Bio: I was born in Norwich, CT, but being a Navy brat, I moved to Alaska when I was just a few months old, then moved to Ohio and then Virginia by the time I was three years old. Fairfax (right on the edge of Burke) is the only home I can remember living in.
I was raised with my two older sisters by my parents and we were all very close. I learned and continue from the bad decisions of one of my sisters and strive to be the best person I can be and try to better myself every day.
I was accepted as a transfer student to George Mason University on July 2nd, 2011 after spending 50 credit hours at Northern Virginia Community College's Annandale Campus.
Your Beliefs: I believe that everything happens for a reason. Everything negative that happens is a learning experience, and I believe that happiness is in the heart and not the circumstances. I also love the common saying, "Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end."
Politics: I am socially liberal but fiscally conservative. I consider myself a libertarian. I was just barely too young to vote in the 2008 presidential election (Election day was the 4th and my birthday is the 6th), and unfortunately haven't gotten around to registering to vote yet.
Religion: I was baptised in a Baptist church just before my 17th birthday, but have since lost touch with my religious side. I am currently more of an agnostic. I enjoy church and enjoy the lessons and morals that religion teaches.
Local Hot-Button Issues: I am very passionate about animal adoption versus animal breeding. I would rather give an animal a home that needs one very badly, no matter the breed, than to pay someone to breed me a dog. I would rather see all shelter animals adopted and spayed/neutered to avoid creating more animals to be abandoned.

Hey, I'm about to start working for the Burke Patch and I saw your profile. I just thought it was weird how close our names are and wanted to say hi!
