ReplySince I had most of the summer off, I got all of my family's Christmas shopping done in August. Makes me feel a LOT better, because I have been able to save up for the last couple of months in case I decide I need to get more.

ReplyWe've always eaten as a family at my house, since I was born. Obvious exceptions for when any member of the family has to work until 9PM or so, but still. Our dinner time is when dad gets home so we can all eat together.
Now that I'm in college at GMU (still living at home and commuting) and working 2 jobs, family dinners don't happen quite as often anymore. But still, if we're all home, 9 times out of 10 we eat together as a family.
I love it.

ReplyI have a magnet that says, "If your dog is fat, you are not getting enough exercise!"
It probably goes both ways. Exercise is important for humans and animals alike, and for pets and owners to get exercise together is very rewarding, whether you're walking a dog or playing with a cat.

ReplyGet a reliable virus protection! AVG is one of the good free ones out there. Then, make sure you update it regularly. Without daily, or at least weekly, updates, even the most expensive virus protection in the world is useless.

ReplyBe prepared to do all of the laundry he brought with him to college over thanksgiving... It'll get better :) Before you know it, you'll be like my parents who are excited to be empty nesters! I'm holding them back by going to GMU. Poor them ;)

ReplyAt Laurel Ridge Elementary School, they didn't tell us anything, but all of my classmates kept disappearing. I was one of the only kids left at the end because my parents were under lock-down at work, and they figured that the school was probably as safe of a place as any. It was really scary, because I could tell that the teachers were panicking and something was obviously going on, but we didn't know what. I was 10 years old at the time, so that's what I remember more than anything else. Everything after I got home was just a blur. My mom was so scared, because my dad worked for the FAA then. My mom worked in a school (where she still works now), so she was in the same position as the teachers at my school.

I am so sorry for the loss of the Glenns and all those whose lives were touched by Bryan.
I am also feeling fortunate that the autopsy will be completed so quickly. If this is something that was caused by another individual, I hope that the person responsible will not be able to do this again.
