Yasmin is a native Northern Virginian currently studying history and electronic journalism at George Mason University. Yasmin has been working with news organizations since she was 16-years-old starting at her high school's newspaper, The Valkyrie, as a staff writer and then an editor. During her college career Yasmin served as a reporter and an editor at Mason's student-run newspaper Broadside. Yasmin has also worked for GMU's Office of Student Media news convergence website Connect2Mason.com where she was the senior news editor for student life & digest. She is currently working in Pennsylvania for the PA Independent.

Yasmin is a lover of history, journalism, animals, films and music. She also loves learning about all things paranormal.
