Water Main Break Soaks Homes in Burke

Fairfax Waters crews were able to shut the broken water main off after an hour.

A broken water main caused a disturbance in Burke Friday morning.

Water from the 30-inch water main shot about 40 feet in the air, drenching homes near Burke Lake Road and Lake Braddock Drive, according to WJLA

It took Fairfax Water crews almost an hour to shut the water main off. Crews remained on scene to repair the damaged pipe.
