Public Hearings Deferred for Enclave of Burke Development

Residents will be able to voice their concerns for an application to build 13 homes on Spring Lake Drive in Burke in the fall.

The two public hearings for an application by Madison Homes, Inc. to build 13 homes on Spring Lake Drive in Burke have been deferred until the fall.

According to an update from a legislative aide in Springfield District Supervisor Pat Herrity's office, the Fairfax County Planning Commission public hearing for application RZ 2013-SP-005 will be Wednesday, Sept. 18.

The public hearing in front of the Fairfax County Board of Zoning Appeals for the accompanying application SPA 76-S-200-02 public hearing will be a week later on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Representatives for Madison Homes gave a presentation to about 60 residents Tuesday night at a community meeting and revealed their revised site plan for the development. Among the changes, two of the units were removed from the property and additional trees were preserved around the property.
